Terms and Conditions
The complete terms governing your use of StreamBuddy, including account responsibilities, acceptable use, viewer data handling, AI features, billing, intellectual property, liability limitations, and dispute resolution.
Last updated: April 8, 2026
1. Acceptance of Terms
These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("you," "your," or "User") and StreamBuddy ("we," "us," or "our"), governing your access to and use of the StreamBuddy platform and services available at trystreambuddy.com (collectively, the "Service"). By creating an account, accessing, or using the Service in any way, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and by any policies incorporated by reference, including our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy.
If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not access or use the Service. Your continued use of the Service after any modification to these Terms constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
You represent that you are at least 13 years of age (or the minimum age of digital consent in your jurisdiction, whichever is higher) and have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement. If you are using the Service on behalf of a business, organization, or other legal entity, you represent and warrant that you have the authority to bind that entity to these Terms, and the terms "you" and "your" will refer to that entity.
2. Definitions
"Service" means the StreamBuddy platform, including all websites, applications, features, APIs, and related services operated at trystreambuddy.com.
"User" or "Streamer" means any individual or entity that creates an account on StreamBuddy and connects one or more streaming platform accounts to use the Service.
"Viewer Data" means information about individuals who participate in public chat on a User's connected streaming channels, including usernames, chat messages, platform user IDs, badges, activity timestamps, loyalty scores, and any AI-generated profile data.
"Content" means any data, text, notes, tags, configurations, dashboard layouts, or other materials that a User creates, uploads, or stores within the Service.
"Platform" or "Third-Party Platform" means any external streaming service integrated with StreamBuddy, including but not limited to Twitch and YouTube.
"AI Features" means the artificial intelligence and machine learning capabilities of the Service, including viewer profile summaries, sentiment analysis, tag suggestions, community role classifications, and any other automated analysis powered by third-party AI providers.
"Connected Account" means a User's authenticated link to an external Platform through OAuth or similar authorization mechanisms.
3. Beta Service
StreamBuddy is currently provided in beta. The Service is under active development, and features, integrations, interfaces, pricing, and data practices may change, be limited, or be discontinued at any time without prior notice. You acknowledge that beta software may contain bugs, errors, incomplete functionality, and may experience unexpected downtime or data loss.
We do not guarantee that any specific feature will remain available, that the Service will transition from beta to a stable release, or that data created or stored during the beta period will be preserved in future versions of the Service. You use the Service during the beta period at your own risk and should maintain independent backups of any data that is important to you.
By participating in the beta, you may be invited to provide feedback, report bugs, or suggest improvements. Any feedback you provide becomes the property of StreamBuddy, and we may use it without restriction or obligation to you.
4. Account Registration and Security
To use the Service, you must create an account by authenticating through a supported streaming platform (currently Twitch or YouTube). You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during the registration process and to keep your account information up to date.
You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality and security of your account credentials, connected platform tokens, and any activity that occurs under your account. You must promptly notify us if you become aware of any unauthorized use of your account or any other breach of security.
You may connect multiple platform accounts to a single StreamBuddy account. By connecting a Platform account, you authorize StreamBuddy to access your Platform data in accordance with the permissions you grant during the OAuth authorization flow and as described in our Privacy Policy.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate any account that we reasonably believe has been compromised, is being used fraudulently, or is in violation of these Terms.
5. Acceptable Use Policy
You agree to use the Service only for its intended purpose as a streaming community management and viewer relationship tool, and in compliance with all applicable local, state, national, and international laws and regulations. You may not use the Service in any manner that could damage, disable, overburden, or impair the Service or interfere with any other party's use of the Service.
You are expressly prohibited from: reverse engineering, decompiling, disassembling, or otherwise attempting to derive the source code of the Service; using automated scripts, bots, scrapers, or other automated means to access the Service without our prior written consent; attempting to gain unauthorized access to any portion of the Service, other accounts, computer systems, or networks connected to the Service; circumventing, disabling, or otherwise interfering with security-related features of the Service; using the Service to collect, harvest, or aggregate Viewer Data for purposes unrelated to managing your own streaming community; selling, renting, leasing, or sublicensing access to the Service or any data obtained through the Service to third parties.
You further agree not to: use the Service to harass, abuse, stalk, threaten, defame, or otherwise infringe or violate the rights of any other party; use the Service in violation of any streaming Platform's terms of service, community guidelines, or developer agreements; impersonate any person or entity, or falsely state or misrepresent your affiliation with a person or entity; use the Service to transmit any malware, viruses, worms, or other harmful or destructive content; use the Service to engage in any activity that is illegal, fraudulent, deceptive, or harmful; use Viewer Data to target, discriminate against, or take adverse action against individual viewers outside the context of legitimate community management.
6. Platform Integrations and Third-Party Services
The Service integrates with third-party Platforms, including Twitch (operated by Twitch Interactive, Inc.) and YouTube (operated by Google LLC), as well as payment processors, AI providers, and infrastructure services. Your use of each third-party Platform is governed by that Platform's own terms of service, privacy policy, and developer agreements, which you are independently responsible for reviewing and complying with.
StreamBuddy stores OAuth tokens and related credentials necessary to maintain your Connected Accounts and to access Platform APIs on your behalf. We handle these tokens in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable Platform developer requirements. You may revoke a Connected Account at any time through the Service or directly through the Platform's settings.
We do not control and are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, completeness, or policies of any third-party Platform or service. If a Platform changes its APIs, terms, rate limits, or data access policies, or if a Platform experiences downtime or discontinuation, some or all StreamBuddy features that depend on that Platform may become unavailable, degraded, or permanently removed. We will not be liable to you for any loss, damage, or inconvenience arising from such third-party changes.
Third-party services used by StreamBuddy currently include: Twitch and YouTube for streaming platform integration; Stripe for payment processing; Google Gemini and OpenAI for AI-powered features; and various infrastructure and hosting providers. This list may change as the Service evolves.
7. Viewer Data and Chat Processing
The Service processes publicly available chat messages, stream events, and related metadata from your connected streaming channels. This Viewer Data is collected through authorized Platform APIs and is used to build viewer profiles, calculate loyalty scores, power CRM features, and generate AI-driven insights within your account.
You acknowledge and agree that: public chat messages on streaming platforms carry no reasonable expectation of privacy beyond what the Platform itself provides; StreamBuddy processes Viewer Data that is publicly visible or accessible through authorized Platform APIs; the processing of Viewer Data is performed to provide you with community management tools and is initiated by your decision to connect a channel and enable specific features.
As the Streamer and account holder, you are responsible for: ensuring your use of Viewer Data complies with all applicable laws, regulations, and Platform policies; using viewer profiles, AI-generated insights, and community data solely for legitimate community management purposes; not using Viewer Data to discriminate against, harass, dox, or take harmful action against individual viewers; responding to legitimate data-related inquiries or complaints from viewers in your community to the extent required by applicable law.
StreamBuddy provides tools to manage Viewer Data, including the ability to delete viewer records, notes, and tags. Retention of Viewer Data is subject to the retention settings you configure in your Streamer Settings and the terms of our Privacy Policy.
8. AI-Powered Features
The Service includes AI Features that use third-party artificial intelligence providers, currently Google Gemini and OpenAI, to generate viewer profile summaries, sentiment analysis, behavioral labels, community role classifications, memory hooks, and tag suggestions. When AI Features are enabled, relevant Viewer Data is transmitted to these third-party AI providers for processing.
AI-generated outputs are algorithmic interpretations provided for informational purposes only. They are not guaranteed to be accurate, complete, or free from bias. You must not treat AI-generated labels, classifications, or summaries as definitive characterizations of any individual. You are solely responsible for how you interpret and act upon AI-generated content.
You can independently enable or disable AI-powered viewer summaries and AI-powered tag suggestions through your Streamer Settings at any time. Disabling AI Features will stop new AI processing but will not automatically delete previously generated AI data. You may request deletion of AI-generated data by contacting us or by deleting individual viewer records.
Data sent to third-party AI providers is subject to those providers' respective data handling and privacy policies. We select AI providers that offer appropriate data handling commitments, but we do not control and cannot guarantee how third-party providers process, store, or retain data once transmitted. By enabling AI Features, you consent to the transmission of Viewer Data to these providers as described in our Privacy Policy.
9. Intellectual Property
The Service, including all software, code, design, text, graphics, logos, trademarks, trade names, user interface elements, and documentation, is owned by or licensed to StreamBuddy and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any right, title, or interest in the Service beyond the limited right to use it in accordance with these Terms.
You retain ownership of any Content you create within the Service, including viewer notes, custom tags, and dashboard configurations. By using the Service, you grant StreamBuddy a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, sublicensable license to use, store, process, display, and transmit your Content solely as necessary to provide, maintain, and improve the Service. This license terminates when you delete your Content or your account, subject to reasonable backup and deletion timelines.
Nothing in these Terms transfers to you any intellectual property rights of any third-party Platform. Twitch, YouTube, and all associated logos, trademarks, and brand elements are the property of their respective owners. Your use of Platform trademarks is governed by the respective Platform's brand guidelines and terms.
You may not use StreamBuddy's name, logo, or branding in any manner that suggests endorsement, affiliation, or sponsorship without our prior written consent.
10. Subscriptions, Billing, and Payments
StreamBuddy may offer free and paid subscription tiers. If you subscribe to a paid plan, billing and payment processing are handled by Stripe. By subscribing, you authorize Stripe to charge your designated payment method for the applicable fees on a recurring basis in accordance with your selected billing cycle.
Paid subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless you cancel before the renewal date. You may cancel your subscription at any time through the Service or by contacting us. Cancellation will take effect at the end of the current billing period, and you will retain access to paid features until that period expires. We do not provide prorated refunds for partial billing periods unless required by applicable law.
During the beta period, subscription pricing, features included in each tier, trial periods, and billing mechanics may change. We will make reasonable efforts to notify you of material pricing changes in advance. Continued use of a paid plan after a price change constitutes your acceptance of the new pricing.
You are responsible for all applicable taxes, fees, chargebacks, and payment-related costs associated with your account. If payment cannot be processed or if a chargeback is initiated, we may suspend or downgrade your access to paid features until the matter is resolved. Repeated payment failures or fraudulent chargebacks may result in account termination.
Refund requests during the beta period will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis at our sole discretion. We are not obligated to provide refunds except where required by applicable law.
11. Privacy and Data Protection
Your use of the Service is subject to our Privacy Policy, available at trystreambuddy.com/privacy, which describes how we collect, use, store, share, and protect your information. By using the Service, you acknowledge that you have read and understood the Privacy Policy and consent to the data practices described therein.
We are committed to protecting the privacy of children. The Service is not intended for use by individuals under the age of 13 (or the applicable age of digital consent in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under the applicable age threshold, we will take steps to delete that information promptly.
For additional information about how we use cookies and similar technologies, please review our Cookie Policy at trystreambuddy.com/cookies.
12. Service Availability and Modifications
We strive to maintain the availability of the Service but do not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free, or secure access at all times. The Service may be temporarily unavailable due to scheduled maintenance, unplanned outages, infrastructure issues, third-party service disruptions, or force majeure events.
We reserve the right to modify, update, suspend, or discontinue any aspect of the Service at any time, with or without notice, including adding or removing features, changing user interface elements, modifying API behavior, and altering data processing workflows. We will make reasonable efforts to communicate material changes that significantly affect your use of the Service.
If we discontinue the Service entirely, we will make commercially reasonable efforts to provide you with advance notice and an opportunity to export your data, subject to technical feasibility and the circumstances of the discontinuation.
13. Disclaimers of Warranties
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS, WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, STATUTORY, OR OTHERWISE. WE EXPRESSLY DISCLAIM ALL IMPLIED WARRANTIES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
WITHOUT LIMITING THE FOREGOING, WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT: THE SERVICE WILL MEET YOUR SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS OR EXPECTATIONS; THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, TIMELY, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE; THE RESULTS OBTAINED FROM THE USE OF THE SERVICE, INCLUDING AI-GENERATED OUTPUTS, WILL BE ACCURATE, RELIABLE, OR COMPLETE; ANY ERRORS IN THE SERVICE WILL BE CORRECTED; OR THE SERVICE WILL BE COMPATIBLE WITH ANY PARTICULAR HARDWARE, SOFTWARE, OR NETWORK CONFIGURATION.
WE MAKE NO WARRANTIES REGARDING THE AVAILABILITY, RELIABILITY, OR CONTINUED OPERATION OF ANY THIRD-PARTY PLATFORM, PAYMENT PROCESSOR, AI PROVIDER, OR OTHER EXTERNAL SERVICE THAT THE SERVICE DEPENDS UPON. YOU ACKNOWLEDGE THAT THE SERVICE'S FUNCTIONALITY IS DEPENDENT ON THIRD-PARTY SERVICES OVER WHICH WE HAVE NO CONTROL.
SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW THE EXCLUSION OF CERTAIN WARRANTIES. IN SUCH JURISDICTIONS, THE ABOVE EXCLUSIONS APPLY TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW.
14. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL STREAMBUDDY, ITS FOUNDERS, OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, AFFILIATES, SUCCESSORS, OR ASSIGNS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO DAMAGES FOR LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, GOODWILL, BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES, USE, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR ACCESS TO OR USE OF (OR INABILITY TO ACCESS OR USE) THE SERVICE, REGARDLESS OF THE THEORY OF LIABILITY (CONTRACT, TORT, NEGLIGENCE, STRICT LIABILITY, OR OTHERWISE) AND EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF: (A) THE TOTAL AMOUNT YOU HAVE PAID TO STREAMBUDDY IN SUBSCRIPTION FEES DURING THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS IMMEDIATELY PRECEDING THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM; OR (B) FIFTY UNITED STATES DOLLARS (USD $50.00).
THE LIMITATIONS IN THIS SECTION APPLY REGARDLESS OF WHETHER THE ALLEGED LIABILITY IS BASED ON CONTRACT, TORT, NEGLIGENCE, STRICT LIABILITY, OR ANY OTHER BASIS, AND EVEN IF A REMEDY SET FORTH HEREIN IS FOUND TO HAVE FAILED ITS ESSENTIAL PURPOSE. THESE LIMITATIONS SHALL APPLY TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW IN THE APPLICABLE JURISDICTION.
SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW THE LIMITATION OR EXCLUSION OF LIABILITY FOR CERTAIN DAMAGES. IN SUCH JURISDICTIONS, OUR LIABILITY SHALL BE LIMITED TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW.
15. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless StreamBuddy, its founders, officers, directors, employees, agents, affiliates, successors, and assigns from and against any and all claims, demands, actions, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees and legal costs) arising out of or related to: your use of the Service or any activity under your account; your violation of these Terms or any applicable law or regulation; your violation of any rights of a third party, including intellectual property rights, privacy rights, or publicity rights; your misuse, mishandling, or unauthorized disclosure of Viewer Data; any Content you create, upload, or store within the Service; or any dispute between you and a viewer, subscriber, or other member of your streaming community that arises from your use of the Service.
We reserve the right, at your expense, to assume the exclusive defense and control of any matter for which you are required to indemnify us, and you agree to cooperate with our defense of such claims. You agree not to settle any matter without our prior written consent.
16. Termination
You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us through our support channels or the contact page at trystreambuddy.com/contact. Upon termination, your right to access and use the Service will cease immediately.
We may suspend or terminate your account or access to the Service, in whole or in part, at any time and for any reason, including but not limited to: violation of these Terms or any applicable law; conduct that we reasonably believe is harmful to other users, third parties, or the Service; extended periods of inactivity; failure to pay applicable fees; or upon request by a law enforcement or governmental authority.
Upon termination: your license to use the Service terminates immediately; we may delete your account data, Content, and Viewer Data within a reasonable timeframe, subject to backup retention cycles and legal or contractual obligations; any accrued rights or obligations, including outstanding payment obligations, survive termination; the following sections of these Terms survive termination: Sections 2 (Definitions), 9 (Intellectual Property), 13 (Disclaimers of Warranties), 14 (Limitation of Liability), 15 (Indemnification), 17 (Dispute Resolution), and 18 (General Provisions).
We will not be liable to you or any third party for any suspension or termination of your access to the Service in accordance with these Terms.
17. Dispute Resolution
Governing Law. These Terms and any dispute arising out of or related to these Terms or the Service shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, United States, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
Informal Resolution. Before initiating any formal dispute resolution proceeding, you agree to first contact us at trystreambuddy.com/contact and attempt to resolve the dispute informally for at least thirty (30) days. Most disputes can be resolved through good-faith communication, and we encourage you to reach out before taking further action.
Binding Arbitration. If the dispute cannot be resolved informally within thirty (30) days, either party may elect to resolve the dispute through binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association ("AAA") under its Consumer Arbitration Rules then in effect. Arbitration shall be conducted by a single arbitrator in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, or at another mutually agreed location. The arbitrator's decision shall be final and binding and may be entered as a judgment in any court of competent jurisdiction.
Class Action Waiver. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, YOU AND STREAMBUDDY AGREE THAT EACH PARTY MAY BRING CLAIMS AGAINST THE OTHER ONLY IN YOUR OR ITS INDIVIDUAL CAPACITY AND NOT AS A PLAINTIFF OR CLASS MEMBER IN ANY PURPORTED CLASS, CONSOLIDATED, OR REPRESENTATIVE ACTION. UNLESS BOTH PARTIES AGREE OTHERWISE IN WRITING, THE ARBITRATOR MAY NOT CONSOLIDATE MORE THAN ONE PERSON'S CLAIMS AND MAY NOT OTHERWISE PRESIDE OVER ANY FORM OF CLASS OR REPRESENTATIVE PROCEEDING.
Exceptions. Notwithstanding the foregoing, either party may seek injunctive or equitable relief in any court of competent jurisdiction to prevent the actual or threatened infringement, misappropriation, or violation of intellectual property rights or confidential information. Additionally, claims that qualify for small claims court in your jurisdiction may be brought in small claims court rather than arbitration.
18. General Provisions
Entire Agreement. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy, and any other policies expressly incorporated by reference, constitute the entire agreement between you and StreamBuddy regarding the subject matter hereof and supersede all prior or contemporaneous agreements, understandings, negotiations, and discussions, whether written or oral.
Severability. If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable by a court or arbitrator of competent jurisdiction, that provision shall be enforced to the maximum extent permissible, and the remaining provisions of these Terms shall continue in full force and effect.
Waiver. The failure of StreamBuddy to enforce any right or provision of these Terms shall not constitute a waiver of that right or provision. Any waiver of any provision of these Terms will be effective only if in writing and signed by StreamBuddy.
Assignment. You may not assign, transfer, or delegate your rights or obligations under these Terms without our prior written consent. We may assign our rights and obligations under these Terms without restriction, including in connection with a merger, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of assets.
Force Majeure. StreamBuddy shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performing its obligations under these Terms to the extent that such failure or delay results from circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, natural disasters, pandemic, epidemic, war, terrorism, riots, government actions, power failures, internet or telecommunications failures, or third-party service outages.
Notices. We may provide notices to you through the Service, by email to the address associated with your account, or by posting updates to our website. Notices to us should be sent through the contact page at trystreambuddy.com/contact. Notices are deemed received when delivered through the Service, when sent by email (on the next business day), or when posted to the website.
No Third-Party Beneficiaries. These Terms are for the benefit of the parties hereto and do not create any rights in favor of any third party, and no third party is an intended beneficiary of these Terms.
Headings. The section headings in these Terms are for convenience only and have no legal or contractual effect.
19. Changes to These Terms
We may revise these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in the Service, our business practices, or applicable law. When we make changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
For material changes that significantly affect your rights or obligations, we will make reasonable efforts to provide prominent notice, which may include a notification within the Service, an email to registered users, or a prominent posting on our website. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date of any revised Terms constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
If you do not agree with the revised Terms, you must stop using the Service and may terminate your account as described in Section 16. Your use of the Service following any changes confirms your acceptance of the updated Terms.
